Therapy in the outdoors
There are huge mental health benefits of being outside in nature, so why not try having your counselling session outside in a green space?
We will start with a video call session where we will begin to get to know each other and explore what you would like to get out of counselling, and agree together how your sessions will work. And then from session two we meet outside.
All routes are fully risk assessed and you don't need to be physically fit, we will walk at a leisurely pace. We can even sit and talk outside, or do a mixture of sitting and walking - whatever is more comfortable for you. This will all be discussed in your first session. I have fully accessible routes available so if you are a wheelchair user or have mobility issues please let me know and we can talk about how to make outdoor therapy work for you.
Traditional counselling settings are not for everyone, and neither are video calls. For some people it is easier to talk about difficult things side by side in the fresh air.
